Miss Shelly
Miss Shelly, aka Michelle Velez, is a chef based in San Diego, CA who does custom catering, events, and makes her own AMAZING BBQ sauce. This was a special case because Shelly is actually a friend of mine. Shelly and I worked together in the service industry for about 3 years. Based off of our relationship, she came to me with website functionality and aesthetic concerns. Her old website was out-dated and was not ever pushed out live onto the internet! She really wanted her website upgraded (look-wise) in order for her to promote the services she offered more effectively.
Online Shop
The Miss Shelly website not only needed a new look and feel, but it also needed a simple eCommerce store for the “Shack Sauces”, Chef Shelly’s BBQ sauce line. Shelly designs and creates her own barbeque sauces, dressings, and seasonings and she wanted to get them up for customers to purchase! She already had a Square account, so the connection with the Wix Store and Square was simple. Now she has a beautiful layout she can direct potential customers to and the checkout is simple! There is also an option to create a profile on the website, just like any other online shopping site. This function allows customers to create an account and keep track of their orders!
